 For night market we where told to make somthing sellable for night market.

last thursday mel from live wire media came to us about marketing and promotion
we learnt
-we need to think about what our buyers want - reserach your target market- do a survey
-we need to think carefully about what our product is and what it is colled
-we need to advertise using language that everyone can understand
-decide who your target market  is
-make sure your product is origuial /unipue/ better than others
-look at your competeing market and find out what they are doing and do it better.

For Market Day my product is key hooks.

My target market is adults.

Action Plan:

1. Get wood (ask Whaea Meg)
2. Get keys and hooks (bring from home tomorrow)
3. Get house paint and sand paper and hammer (Mr A)
3. Start bending keys
4. Cut and sand wood
5. Paint wood (house paint)
6. Put together.
7. Make 5
8. Ask target market if they would buy them and how much he would sell the for.
9. Make posters and advertising.

My mum 

My mum always wears jandals, she wears them until they break and then she tries a new brand.  My mum has {brown sugar } eyes and black shoulder length wavy hair which is always tied in a bun. She is tallish but I am catching up.  She wears glasses all the time. She loves to  make bread for us.my mum take all day to do the dishes. My mum make dad do all the cooking and cleaning in the weekends weal mum play in the garden all day. My mum feeding the horses and goats and foal which is not small anymore all the time.  

Pet Day

Today we had pet day at Oruaiti school. We had pet day because it was a excuse to have a fun day
so we brought our pets to school . l enjoyed seeing the pets.l was most proud of my goat with I brought to pets day. 

Landscape Art

This is my landscape art which we did a few week's ago, I like how it look's it's a nice view of Cooper's Beach.

Pick a Path

 I like the way it came out. I am pleased that I finished it. I like the way I used a realistic story and didnt include any death in the storyline. Next time I will add some pictures to my story.

bird art

 How- I had to search up my picture off goggle images of the bird i wanted to do i choose a scarlet ma caw.
Why- We did this as one of six pieces for our pet day at the end of this term.
When- We started our artwork in term 2 scarlet macaw lives ln Central America and South America, including eastern Mexico, Guatemala, Belize, Colombia, Ecuador, Amazonian Peru and Brazil . I found it easy. The only hard part was getting the glue all over my fingers and some of the paper came off.  I found that annoying, I was successful because I finished it. I feel I have done a good job.  I like my Scarlett Mc Caw.  I think I might do an easier bird to do next time.time

Learning Together

Today we had Learning Together. This is when we do science experiments.
One experiment we did was watching how cabbage water would change colour when you add acids and base   . 
Baking soda is a base and it makes the cabbage  water turn pink. lf you add vinegar to purple cabbage water it will turn red. If you put red cabbage into boiling hot water it will make cabbage water. Then you put it into containers and you put baking soda into the red cabbage.  

Small Box

We were learning to draw 3 d shapes. At the start I found it challenging to draw a box. Finally I drew a good box and I drew one and kept going on and on.
Next time I want to fill the whole page.

Year 7/8 CAPP Survey

This term we completed a survey for the CAPP (Careers Aspirations - Personalised Pathways) programme. CAPP is collecting this data so that they can present to our local schools on how they can support us with our future pathways.
